PETTIGREW TO VISIT MONTREAL AND QUEBEC CITY
Media representatives are advised that International Trade Minister Pierre Pettigrew will visit Montreal and Quebec City,
on May 9. He will be the guest speaker at the launch of the "Focus on Trade Agreements" series, organized by the World
Trade Centre in Montreal in association with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. The Minister will
deliver a speech on the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) and will answer questions from participants.
In Quebec City, Minister Pettigrew will be the keynote speaker at the Québec Forest Industry Council (QFIC) Annual
Convention. He will deliver a speech on the current state of the softwood lumber dispute between Canada and the United
States.
