Canada and Guyana have enjoyed good diplomatic relations since 1964. The High Commission in Georgetown, in collaboration with Canada's Honorary Consulate in Paramaribo, Suriname, actively promotes political, commercial, development, educational and other links with Guyana and Suriname.
