General and Case Status Enquiries:

(+537) 204-1069. You should clearly state the nature of the enquiry and include the name and file number of the applicant (eg., B0123456789 / V0123456789).  Faxes must include contact details and bear the signature of the sender.

By telephone: (+537) 204-0109, (+537) 204-0110 or (+537) 204-7098. As the Privacy Act prevents the release of personal information to unauthorized individuals, we will not reply to case-specific enquiries by telephone.

When communicating with our office, include all your questions in a single message. In order to serve all clients better, we are not able to reply to multiple messages from the same client.

To make an appointment for a Temporary Resident Visa interview:
call (+537) 204-7097 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30am to 12:00. Please note that this number is not for status updates on your file. Please have your identity card number ready when you call.

Immigration Officers cannot give appointments
to discuss case status or refusals.

WORKING HOURS:

Temporary Resident Visa applications (Visitor Visas, Student Permits, Work Permits) and Application for a Travel Document for Permanent Resident of Canada:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:

Private visits: from 8:30am to 10:30am

Official visits: from 10:30am to 12:30pm

CLOSED: Monday - Friday 12:30pm to 1:30pm

Client Service: Monday - Thursday 1:30pm to 3:00pm

If your passport is not available at the time of your application, please ensure the Visa Office receives your passport from Monday-Thursday 1:30 to 2:00 pm on the day the visa is due to be issued. If your visa is to be issued on Friday, please ensure the Visa Office receives your passport on Thursday 1:30 to 2:00 pm.

All passports and documents received after 2:00pm will not be considered until the following day.

Documents relating to an upcoming visa application should not be sent separately. They must be submitted with the application itself. Only documents and information submitted with a visa application itself, or clearly identified with the file number of a visa application currently in process, will be taken into consideration when a visa application is assessed.

For all supporting documents, please provide uncertified photocopies only. Originals are not required and will not be returned to you. Additional documentation may be required if deemed necessary.

DROP-OFF BOX:

Only the following applications may be left with the guard in the drop-off box at the Immigration entrance, from Monday - Thursday 1:30 - 3:00pm:

-Immigration (economic/skilled workers category only);
-Visitor/ transit visas for Officials whose travel will not take place in less than 21 days (telephone contact required);
-Private visitors who have already visited Canada at least twice.

Please ensure your contact address and phone number are clearly marked on the envelope.

Cash payments cannot be made through the drop-off box. Only bank receipts from Banco Metropolitano or certified cheques payable to the Receiver General for Canada may be left with the guard at the Immigration entrance.

Note that the processing of your application may be delayed
if all necessary documents are not in the envelope.

Ensure the documents are submitted at least 21 days
before the desired date of departure.
