Immigration Officers cannot give appointments to discuss case status or refusals. If your visa is to be issued on Friday, please ensure the Visa Office receives your passport on Thursday 1:30 to 2:00 pm. All passports and documents received after 2:00pm will not be considered until the following day. Documents relating to an upcoming visa application should not be sent separately. They must be submitted with the application itself. Only documents and information submitted with a visa application itself, or clearly identified with the file number of a visa application currently in process, will be taken into consideration when a visa application is assessed.
For all supporting documents, please provide uncertified photocopies only. Originals are not required and will not be returned to you. Additional documentation may be required if deemed necessary. DROP-OFF BOX: Only the following applications may be left with the guard in the drop-off box at the Immigration entrance, from Monday - Thursday 1:30 - 3:00pm: - | Immigration (economic/skilled workers category only); | - | Visitor/ transit visas for Officials whose travel will not take place in less than 21 days (telephone contact required); | - | Private visitors who have already visited Canada at least twice. |
Please ensure your contact address and phone number are clearly marked on the envelope. Cash payments cannot be made through the drop-off box. Only bank receipts from Banco Metropolitano or certified cheques payable to the Receiver General for Canada may be left with the guard at the Immigration entrance. Note that the processing of your application may be delayed if all necessary documents are not in the envelope. Ensure the documents are submitted at least 21 days before the desired date of departure.
