<p>Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay announced today that he will visit Afghanistan on
May 9 and 10, 2006. During his visit, he will meet with Canadian troops, diplomats, and
aid officials. Minister MacKay will also meet with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and
Foreign Minister Rangin Dadfar Spanta, and with Dutch Foreign Affairs Minister Bernard
Bot.</p>
