Foreign Affairs Minister Bill Graham today expressed deep sadness over yesterday's tragic ferry disaster in Bangladesh,
which claimed hundreds of lives.
"Canadians are profoundly moved by the reports coming out of Chandpur," said Minister Graham. "On behalf of the
citizens of Canada, I extend our deepest condolences to the friends and families of the victims of this tragedy and assure
them that our prayers are with them at this difficult time."
The Minister also noted that Canadian officials at the High Commission in Dhaka are working closely with Bangladeshi
