Q: How can I register to vote? A: The application form and information on how to register and vote by special mail-in ballot are available on Elections Canada’s Web site or from any Canadian embassy, high commission or consular office. IMPORTANT The registration form must reach Elections Canada in Ottawa by 6:00 p.m. on January 17, 2006, the Tuesday before polling day. The earlier you send it, the better. Your registration will be promptly processed, but you must allow enough time for a special ballot voting kit to reach you and for your ballot to travel back to Ottawa. The completed ballot must arrive at Elections Canada by 6:00 p.m., Ottawa time, on polling day, January 23, 2006. By law, late ballots cannot be counted. Q: How can I get more information?
