TECHNICAL BRIEFING ON SECURITY AND PROSPERITY PARTNERSHIP OF
NORTH AMERICA
Deputy Prime Minister Anne McLellan, Industry Minister David L. Emerson, and their
U.S. and Mexican counterparts, Secretary Michael Chertoff, Secretary Carlos Gutierrez,
Secretary Fernando Canales and Secretary Carlos Abascal, will meet in Ottawa on
Monday, June 27, to discuss progress on the Security and Prosperity Partnership of
North America. The Partnership was established on March 23, 2005, when Prime
Minister Paul Martin met with United States President George W. Bush and Mexican
President Vicente Fox at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
Senior officials will provide a technical briefing on this initiative on Thursday, June 23.
The secretaries and ministers will be available to media after their meeting on Monday.
