OWNERS Security

OWNERS has provided the infrastructure, methods and tools to ensure that your data are kept confidential and secure. Encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection software and operating system security protect your data.

Your data are protected by authentication using Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates. These certificates are used to monitor, control, protect and confirm the identity of users.

When you log into OWNERS, you will be issued a certificate. This certificate attaches to your browser while you are logged into the site. The information that you transmit back to OWNERS will be encrypted using this certificate.

In addition, all communication with OWNERS takes place through a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) -- adding another layer of security to your transaction.
