Elizabeth Falls Hydroelectric Project
Availability of $20,000 in Participant Funding

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency has made $20,000 available under its Participant Funding Program to assist groups and/or individuals to take part in the environmental assessment of this proposed project.

Black Lake First Nation is proposing to construct and operate a hydroelectric generating station involving the Fond du Lac River, between Black Lake and Middle Lake in northern Saskatchewan.

To receive funding, successful applicants must participate in the environmental assessment process of the proposed project. Funding applications received by the Agency at the address indicated below by March 19, 2007 will be considered.

Information on the proposed project, the Program, including the Participant Funding Program Guide, the application form and the contribution agreement that describes the obligations of each party and the conditions for payments, is available on the Agency’s Web site.
