Mountain View Training Drop Zone

Description: The Department of National Defence has submitted a proposal to establish a new parachute operations training area for the Canadian Forces Base Trenton. The training area would be located in an area south of the town of Mountain View in eastern Ontario.

Decision of the Minister of the Environment: On January 7, 2000, following a review of public comments and the environmental assessment report, the Minister concluded that the project is unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects and referred the project back to the responsible authority for appropriate next steps.
