Valley South Water Project

Alberta

Description: Valley South Co-op Limited has submitted a proposal to construct a water supply well, pipeline, water treatment and pumping facilities to supplement the existing municipal system, near the Hamlet of Acadia Valley in the central part of the province.

Decision of the Minister of the Environment: On September 7, 1999, following a review of public comments and the environmental assessment report, the Minister concluded that the project is unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects and referred the project back to the responsible authority for appropriate next steps.
