Grizzly Extension Pipeline and Weejay Lateral

British Columbia / Alberta

Description: Westcoast Energy Inc. has submitted a proposal to construct and operate a 114.8 km natural gas pipeline to connect additional Grizzly Valley gas reserves in the Ojay/Weejay area of BC and the Narraway areas of Alberta.

Decision of the Minister of the Environment: On November 13, 2002, following a review of public comments and the environmental assessment report, the Minister concluded that the project is unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects and referred the project back to the responsible authority for appropriate next steps.
