Authorization to Conduct a seismic Exploration Program for Oil and/or Natural Gas

Indian and Northern Affairs Canada will conduct a screening commencing on February 28, 2007 of the project:
Authorization to Conduct a seismic Exploration Program for Oil and/or Natural Gas.
A 3D seismic exploration program will be conducted for oil and natural gas. The seismic program will be conducted using dynamite as the energy source. Reclamation of surface disturbances will be conducted immediately following the field program.
Under section 5 of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, an EA is required for this project because Indian and Northern Affairs Canada may provide federal lands for the purpose of enabling this project to be carried out.
