For the purpose of interpreting or applying the law, users should consult the official texts:

• the Acts passed by Parliament. (These are published in the 'Assented to' Acts services, the Canada Gazette, Part III and the annual Statutes of Canada); and
• the regulations as registered by the Clerk of the Privy Council. (These are published in the Canada Gazette, Part II).

The above-mentioned publications are available in most public libraries.
