TQM-PNGTS Pipeline Extension

Québec

Description: Gazoduc Trans Québec & Maritimes Inc. (TQM) has submitted a proposal to extend its natural gas pipeline from Lachenaie to the Quebec-New Hampshire border near East Hereford in order to consolidate Gaz Métropolitain's network and to meet the supply requirements of the Portland Natural Gas Transmission System (PNGTS).

Decision of the Minister of the Environment: On March 31, 1998, following a review of public comments and the environmental assessment report, the Minister concluded that the project is unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects and referred the project back to the responsible authorities for appropriate next steps.
