Huckleberry Copper Mine

British Columbia

Description: Huckleberry Mines Ltd. has submitted a proposal to develop a porphyry-copper deposit located approximately 86 km southwest of Houston, in the central part of the province.

Decision of the Minister of the Environment: On March 25, 1996, following a review of public comments and the environmental assessment report, the Minister concluded that the project is unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects and referred the project back to the responsible authority for appropriate next steps.
