Preserving Aboriginal Heritage : Technical and Traditional Approaches. Visit the Canadian Heritage website for more information. Raising the Ghost! Track the progress of the dive team on a special website The elusive subject of a 30-year search – in the-deep waters of Charron Lake in northeast Manitoba – was located last summer by a Museum search team. The Canadian Airways bush plane G-CAJD went down in a snowstorm on December 10th, 1931, carrying its cargo of supplies for a party of prospectors at Island Lake. This summer, an expedition is being mounted to ‘raise the ghost’ and bring it to the Museum as a permanent display. You can check out the history of the wreck, the search and track the progress of its retrieval online at www.fokkeraircraftrecovery.ca
