Waste water treatment in Kitcisakik

Kitcisakik (QC)

October 3, 2006 -- Indian and Northern Affairs Canada and Health Canada will conduct a screening commencing on October 3, 2006 of the project: Waste water treatment in Kitcisakik.

Building a new purification field in Kitcisakik

Under section 5 of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, an EA is required for this project because Indian and Northern Affairs Canada may provide financial assistance to the proponent for the purpose of enabling the project and Health Canada may provide financial assistance to the proponent for the purpose of enabling the project.

Indian and Northern Affairs Canada will act as the Federal Environmental Assessment Coordinator for this environmental assessment.
