NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT

of an environmental assessment

Construct Snowmobile Trail

Charlottetown (NL)

November 25, 2005 -- Human Resources and Skills Development Canada will conduct a screening commencing on November 25, 2005 of the project: Construct Snowmobile Trail.

The proponent proposes to construct a snowmobile trail around the community of Charlottetown, Labrador. The proposed trail route requires clearing and brush cutting.

Under section 5 of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, an EA is required for this project because Human Resources and Skills Development Canada may provide financial assistance to the proponent for the purpose of enabling the project.
