BEACH IN FRONT OF THE SLIPWAY AT HIGHLANDS HAS TO BE LEVELED TO ALLOW ACCESS TO FISHING GROUNDS

Fisheries and Oceans Canada will conduct a screening commencing on March 26, 2004 of the project:
BEACH IN FRONT OF THE SLIPWAY AT HIGHLANDS HAS TO BE LEVELED TO ALLOW ACCESS TO FISHING GROUNDS .
APPROXIMATELY 75 CUBIC METERS OF ROCK AND GRAVEL WILL BE REMOVED FROM IN FRONT OF THE SLIPWAY AT HIGHLANDS TO ALLOW ACCESS TO FISHIING GROUNDS.
Approximately 75 cubic meters of rock and gravel will be removed from in front of the slipway at Highlands to allow access to the fishing grounds.
Under section 5 of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, an EA is required for this project because Fisheries and Oceans Canada may provide financial assistance to the proponent for the purpose of enabling the project.
