Installation of Water Lines

(Document List)

DECISION

April 13, 2007 -- The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency has completed the screening of the Installation of Water Lines and on April 13, 2007 determined to take the following course of action. The authority may exercise any power or perform any duty or function with respect to the project because, after having considered the screening report, the authority is of the opinion that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

As detailed in the environmental assessment report, mitigation measures have been required for the project to address:

  • air quality
  • water quality
  • soil quality
  • vegetation
  • human health and safety

A follow-up program for this project was not considered appropriate. Circumstances where a follow-up program would typically be warranted are outlined in the Agency's Operational Policy Statement on Follow-up.
