BOTANY INLET LOG HANDLING FACILITY

Botany Inlet (BC)

December 5, 2003 -- Fisheries and Oceans Canada will conduct a screening commencing on December 3, 2003 of the project: BOTANY INLET LOG HANDLING FACILITY .

CONSTRUCTION OF A LOG HANDLING FACILITY WITH ASSOCIATED LOG BOOMING AND STORAGE.

Under section 5 of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, an EA is required for this project because Fisheries and Oceans Canada may issue a permit or license under subsection 35(2) of the Fisheries Act.
