Rehabilitation of Hanna Road Bridge in the Township of Oliver Paipoonge

Industry Canada will conduct a screening commencing on January 19, 2007 of the project:
Rehabilitation of Hanna Road Bridge in the Township of Oliver Paipoonge.
Transport Canada is participating as they may also be required to conduct an environmental assessment of the project.
The Municipality of Oliver / Paipoonge proposes to rehabilitate the Hanna Road Bridge over the Slate River located approximately 0.75 km south of Highway 61. The work includes replacing the deck, guide rail, timber curb system and timber diagonal bracing, installing hardwood shims and timber pile repair.
Under section 5 of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, an EA is required for this project because Industry Canada may provide financial assistance to the proponent for the purpose of enabling the project.
