February 8, 2007 -- Indian and Northern Affairs Canada and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation will conduct a screening commencing on February 8, 2007 of the project: Buffalo Point First Nation - construct 1 housing unit.

Under section 5 of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, an EA is required for this project because Indian and Northern Affairs Canada may provide financial assistance to the proponent for the purpose of enabling the project and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation may provide financial assistance to the proponent for the purpose of enabling the project.

Indian and Northern Affairs Canada will act as the Federal Environmental Assessment Coordinator for this environmental assessment.
