Wolverine River Bridge Replacement

NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT

of an environmental assessment

Wolverine River Bridge Replacement

Wolverine River (BC)

April 2, 2007 -- Transport Canada will conduct a screening commencing on March 29, 2007 of the project: Wolverine River Bridge Replacement.

Removal of the existing 36.5 m long bridge and in-stream pier, and construction of a new clear-span bridge.

Under section 5 of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, an EA is required for this project because Transport Canada may issue an approval under paragraph 5(1)(a) of the Navigable Waters Protection Act.
