Cimbec Marine Terminal

Description: CIMBEC Canada Inc. has submitted a proposal to construct a new marine terminal in Port-Daniel, in the Gaspé Peninsula, near Baie des Chaleurs.

Decision of the Minister of the Environment: On October 3, 1996, following a review of public comments and the environmental assessment report, the Minister concluded that the project is unlikely to cause significant adverse environmental effects and referred the project back to the responsible authority for appropriate next steps.
