Canadian Environmental Assessment Act

Comprehensive Study Report
Valley South Co-op Ltd. Water Pipeline Project

Valley South Co-op Limited is proposing to construct a water supply well, pipeline, water treatment and pumping facilities in the vicinity of the Hamlet of Acadia Valley, Alberta. The purpose of the project is to provide a reliable source of quality water to supplement the existing supply systems serving individual farms and the Hamlet of Acadia Valley.

Under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (the Act), the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration, as the federal responsible authority for the project, has ensured the conduct of a Comprehensive Study of the proposal and has submitted a copy of the Comprehensive Study report to the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency).

Pursuant to subsection 22 (1) of the Act, the Agency now invites the public to comment on the conclusions, recommendations and any other aspect of the report. All comments received by the Agency will become part of the public registry for the project.

Interested persons have until July 28, 1999 to address their remarks in the official language of their choice to the Agency project officer:
