Irving Oil Limited Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
Marine Terminal and Multi-Purpose Pier Project
Located at the Irving Canaport Facility near Saint John, NB

In accordance with the NB Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation and subsection 22(1) of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, an Environmental Impact Assessment Report/Comprehensive Study Report (EIA/CSR), which is also referred to as an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), has been prepared and submitted by Irving Oil Limited on the proposal to develop a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Marine Terminal and Pier near Saint John, NB. Both agencies have agreed to conduct the public review of the EIA/CSR in a coordinated manner.

As required by both federal and provincial legislation, the public is invited to comment on any aspect of the EIA/CSR prepared for this project.

1. To submit written comments, which should be received on or before July 14, 2004 or 15 days following the date of the public meeting, please forward them in the official language of your choice to:

2. To register to make a presentation at the public meeting, please contact the Department of the Environment and Local Government (DELG) at (506) 453-3700 (collect). The public meeting will also provide opportunity for general comments.
