PRATTE J.A.

[1]      This is an application for mandamus to require the respondent to pay the applicant the assistance to which it claims to be entitled under the Atlantic Regional Special Selective and Provisional Assistance Regulations, SOR/78-495.

[2]      As we indicated at the hearing, the application must be dismissed because according to the Regulations, the respondent was only required to establish the amount of the assistance, which it has now done, and was not required to authorize or make the payment.

[3]      The application will accordingly be dismissed.
