The Statistical Consulting and Survey Unit of the Newfoundland & Labrador Statistics Agency is designed to provide statistical and survey consulting services. Our clientele include the planning and research staff of all Provincial Government departments, special working groups and outside agencies. As a centralized statistical consulting service, the Unit provides assistance with the collection, manipulation and analysis of statistical data. As well, the Unit collects and maintains data as directed by the Statistics Act and provides guidance on survey design, data collection and statistical analysis.

Within the guidelines of the Statistics Act, the Newfoundland & Labrador Statistics Agency develops and promotes economic, social, demographic and financial statistics relevant to Newfoundland and Labrador. The Statistical Consulting and Survey Unit creates and administers household and business surveys within the province including the Labour Activity Survey, Adult Health Survey, Employer & Wage Rate Survey, Contact Centre Surveys, In/Out Migration Surveys.
