High School Education

You may want to complete your high school education or upgrade your graduation certificate in one or more subject areas.  Many young and older adults choose to enrol in an Adult Basic Education Program (ABE).

On the other hand, you may feel that over the years, through work and life experiences, you have gained a lot of knowledge and skills, and now you want to see if you can obtain a high school equivalency certificate.  Taking General Educational Development Tests (GED) can lead to getting a high school equivalency.

Post-Secondary Education

Increasingly, adults are opting to engage in part-time studies and/or distance education. Newfoundland and Labrador’s public post-secondary institutions, Memorial University and College of the North Atlantic, offer a number of options for adults who require settings other than full-time attendance in traditional classrooms.
