The life science economy is “an economic movement which applies a growing technical
knowledge of living things in the creation of alternative consumer and industrial
products. These products are being referred to as “bio-products” and include new
energy sources, medical and health products, as well as food products. The truly
positive outcome of these new products is the creation of a renewable economy.
Life science will be key to reducing the world’s dependence on non-renewable
