Objective

To harness the potential for bio-resources to produce bio-energy, bio-fuels, industrial bio-products and bio-processes to help Canadian industry and communities meet the challenges of improving efficiency and reducing toxic air emissions

Targeted ecoENERGY Technology Activities

Planned activities will

• develop new and improved technologies for producing energy from plants, wastes and microorganisms
  
  
• develop the knowledge for moving towards a bio-based economy
  
  
• support the development of associated regulations
  
  
• contribute to the revitalization of rural economies and Aboriginal communities

NOTE:  the planned activities described here will be reviewed and refined during the development of a strategic plan and a detailed implementation plan for this priority area.
