GOVERNMENT-TO-GOVERNMENT & INTERNATIONAL TRANSMISSION OF CLASSIFIED INFORMATION

The transfer of Classified information and assets between Canadian and foreign governments and industry must be arranged by the Canadian and International Industrial Security Directorate (CIISD) through government-to-government channels. Strict procedures must be followed to ensure the proper handling and safeguarding of such information and assets while in transit, both nationally and internationally. The government-to-government channels are identified in the appropriate Industrial Security Memorandum of Understanding.
