Wheat Storage Program

The Wheat Storage Program will close on July 31, 2007.

The premiums currently in effect (see below) will not change before the program deadline.

Important: To compensate for a lack of bin space due to storing grain under the program, farmers will receive an early delivery opportunity for 2007-08 crop equal to the number of tonnes committed to the WSP, in addition to regular delivery calls in effect.

Current Wheat Storage Program contract premiums:
15.0 protein - $17.00 per tonne.
14.5 to 14.9 protein - $12.00 per tonne.

This premium is effective from 2:30 p.m. CST on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 until 11:59 p.m. CST on Tuesday, July 31, 2007.

The Wheat Storage Program (WSP) is a delivery option that allows you to receive a contract premium and storage payment to store your high-quality, high-protein, No. 1 Canada Western Red Spring (CWRS) wheat on-farm.

Farmers can sign-up by faxing the 2007-08 Wheat Storage Program Contract Sign-up Application to the CWB at 1-204-983-8031 or by calling 1-800-275-4292 with your CWB producer ID number and PIN.
