“A Brave New World: Where Biotechnology and Human Rights Intersect”  explored human rights issues relating to biotechnology. Experts from Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom examined the issues surrounding assisted reproductive technology and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. Panellists discussed whether or not there is a right to research and examined the moral, ethical and human rights issues raised by the patenting of living biological materials.
