New Media

Introduction

New Media has a relationship with traditional broadcasting and telecommunications systems. Its role in telecommunications and broadcasting, including its impact on traditional providers, is therefore an important area for the Commission.

As noted in the Exemption Order for New Media Broadcasting Undertakings (Public Notice CRTC 1999-197):

"New media broadcasting undertakings provide broadcasting services delivered and accessed over the Internet..."
