2007-8 2007-02-08 Rogers Cable Communications Inc. – Part VII application seeking access to highways controlled by the Department of Transportation of the Province of New Brunswick on terms consistent with Ledcor/Vancouver – Construction, operation and maintenance of transmission lines in Vancouver, Decision CRTC 2001-23, 25 January 2001. The Commission concludes that it has the jurisdiction to deal with the application filed by Rogers Cable Communications Inc. (Rogers) regarding the fees charged by the Province of New Brunswick (the Province) for use of its highways for the purpose of constructing, maintaining and operating Rogers' transmission lines, as well as related issues. The Commission also concludes that the fees payable by Rogers to the Province are reasonable. Further, the Commission expects that Rogers and the Province will negotiate an agreement regarding the relocation of Rogers' facilities at the request of the Province. Reference: 8690-R28-200512972.
2007-9 2007-02-08 The Commission forbears, with some conditions, from regulating high capacity/ digital data services interexchange private line services on those additional routes on which the competitors of several incumbent local exchange carriers now offer or provide such services at DS-3 or greater bandwidth. 2007-19 2007-03-30 The Commission finds that there may be merit in expanding the scope of alternative format obligations and requiring that electronic information be made accessible to persons who are blind, as suggested by Mrs. Marie Laporte-Stark and Mr. Chris Stark, but that these issues should be considered in a future proceeding to address the unresolved accessibility issues for persons with disabilities. The Commission denies the request made by Mrs. Marie Laporte‑Stark and Mr. Chris Stark that it should re‑regulate terminal equipment. Further, the Commission encourages all telecommunications service providers to provide information on terminal equipment with accessibility features for persons who are blind on their websites. 2007-29 2007-05-03 The Commission determines that TELUS Communications Company (TCC) is to exclude quality of service indicators 2.1A, 2.2A, and 2.5 from the retail quality of service rate adjustment plan for the periods in 2003 that were affected by forest fires, floods, and a cable cut. The Commission directs TCC to adjust the results for indicators 1.5, 2.1B, and 2.2B and to provide a customer credit to customers of record as of the date of this Decision. 2007-30 2007-05-03 The Commission determines that TELUS Communications Company (TCC) is to exclude from the retail quality of service rate adjustment plan the results for three retail quality of service indicators for June and July 2005.
