2000/11/24 2000-11 ISSUE NO. 1 HULL, QUEBEC 30 JANUARY 2001, 9:00 A.M. The Commission will hold a public hearing commencing on 30 January 2001, at the Commission Headquarters, 1 Promenade du Portage, Hull, Quebec, to consider the following:
1. CANWEST GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS CORP., across Canada. For authority to effect a transfer of the 1% partnership interest in Prime TV held by CanVideo Television (which amalgamated with Global Communications to continue as Global Communications) to Prime Television Holdco Inc. (formally 3782051 Canada Limited, a new indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of CanWest Global) to Prime Television Holdco Inc. (formally 3782051 Canada Limited, a new indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of CanWest Global).

2.TELEMEDIA RADIO ATLANTIC INC., Truro, Nova Scotia. To carry on an English-language FM radio programming undertaking at Truro. The new station would operate on frequency 99.5 MHz (channel 258B) with an effective radiated power of 14,300 watts. The current licence issued to the applicant for CKCL Truro would be surrendered.

3.TELEMEDIA RADIO ATLANTIC INC., Woodstock, New Brunswick. To carry on an English-language FM radio programming undertaking at Woodstock. The new station would operate on frequency 104.1 MHz (channel 281B) with an effective radiated power of 10,000 watts. The current licence issued to the applicant for CJCJ Woodstock would be surrendered.

4.RADIO CHARLESBOURG/HAUTE ST-CHARLES, Charlesbourg, Quebec. To carry on a type B French-language FM community radio programming undertaking at Charlesbourg. The new station would operate on frequency 103.7 MHz (channel 279A1) with an effective radiated power of 20 watts.

5.ANDRÉ CURADEAU, on behalf of a corporation to be incorporated, Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. To carry on a low power French-language FM radio programming undertaking at Rouyn-Noranda. The new station would operate on frequency 88.7 MHz (channel 204LP) with an effective radiated power of 50 watts.

6.9091-8749 QUÉBEC INC.
Sainte-Aurélie, Quebec. To acquire the assets of the cable distribution undertaking serving Sainte-Aurélie currently held by 2971-6214 Québec inc. The applicant is also requesting a broadcasting licence to continue the operation of the undertaking.

7.  THE HALIBURTON BROADCASTING GROUP INC.,  Bancroft, Ontario. To carry on an English-language FM radio programming undertaking at Bancroft. The new station would operate on frequency 97.7 MHz (channel 249C1) with an effective radiated power of 50,000 watts. The current licence issued to the applicant for CJNH Bancroft would be surrendered.

8.  OTTAWA MACDONALD-CARTIER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY, Ottawa (Ottawa MacDonald-Cartier International Airport), Ontario. To carry on an English- and French-language AM radio programming undertaking at Ottawa. The new station would operate on frequency 1630 kHz with a transmitter power of 99 watts.

9.  JOHN ELLIOTT, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. To carry on a low power English-language FM radio programming undertaking at Sault Ste-Marie. The new station would operate on frequency 89.5 MHz (channel 208LP) with an effective radiated power of 50 watts.

10.  CHCD INC., Simcoe, Ontario. To acquire the assets of the radio programming undertaking CHCD-FM. The applicant is also requesting a broadcasting licence to continue the operation of this undertaking, upon surrender of the current licence issued to Redmond Broadcasting Inc.

12.  TELEMEDIA RADIO INC., Timmins, Ontario. To carry on an English-language FM radio programming undertaking at Timmins. The new station would operate on frequency 99.3 MHz (channel 257C) with an effective radiated power of 40,000 watts. The current licence issued to the applicant for CKGB Timmins would be surrendered.

Deadline for intervention: 10 January 2001
