The Commission is seeking comment on certain incumbent local exchange carriers’ proposals to restructure their costing and rate bands, associated revisions to local loop rates, and the issues of subsidies for business lines and extended quality of service indicators in high-cost areas.

Parties wishing to comment on this and other proposals contained in this public notice are asked to respond within 30 days of its release.

2000-52 - Reference: 8621-C12-02/00.  Solutions sought for North American Numbering Plan exhaust.  This public notice seeks input on the technical, social and economic impacts relating to the exhaust of the North American Numbering Plan. It proposes solutions currently under consideration and other related issues.

2000-57 - Reference: 8646-C12-01/00.  Seeking input on higher speed access services offered by smaller cable carriers.  Various smaller incumbent cable carriers offer or plan to offer higher speed access services. The Commission invites comment on the regulatory approach to these services that will achieve Telecommunications Act objectives.

2000-75-1 Telecommunications fees - Correction to Public Notice CRTC 2000-75 dated 31 May 2000.

2000-82 - Reference: 8695-C12-13/00.  Seeking comments on contribution-eligible DAL traffic provided by long distance providers’ affiliates. This public notice initiates a proceeding to consider the appropriate treatment of contribution-eligible traffic carried over direct access lines (DALs) to end-customers where DAL services are provided or resold by the affiliate of any provider of long distance service.

2000-91 - Reference: 8665-C12-09/00.  Soliciting comments to extend telemarketing restrictions across Canada.

2000-96 - Reference: 8622-C12-12/00. Local competition: Proceeding to consider extending the sunset rule for near essential facilities and to treat copper loops as essential facilities.

2000-99 Proceeding to determine the scope of the price cap review. Reference:  8678-C12-09/00. This public notice initiates a proceeding to seek comments on the scope of the upcoming review of the price cap regime for the major incumbent telephone companies. The review will take place prior to the end of the price cap period. The four-year price cap regime was established in 1998.

2000-107 O.N. Tel – IMPLEMENTATION OF TOLL COMPETITION AND RELATED MATTERS. Reference:  8622-C12-10/00 and Tariff Notices 57 and 57A. This public notice initiates a proceeding to consider the appropriate terms and conditions to implement long distance competition in O.N. Tel's toll operating territory.
