2001-9 The Commission approves Bell Canada's request for a custom-designed arrangement providing for a 1.544 Mbps digital facility between Kingsey Falls, Quebec, which is in the operating territory of La Compagnie de Téléphone de Warwick, and the Bell Canada exchange of Victoriaville, Quebec. 2001-59 The Commission approves Québec-Téléphone's request to offer single line business service customers seven SmartTouch service options, namely Call Answer, Name and Number Display, Call Forwarding, Call Waiting, Three-way Calling, Call Return and Speed Call (eight codes), at a monthly rate of $6.45 from 1 February to 31 July 2001. 2001-60 The Commission approves Québec-Téléphone's request to offer small- and medium-businesses Centrex customers with 1 to 24 lines, four SmartTouch service options, namely Centrex Access Device, Call Answer, Call Return and Name and Number Display, at a monthly rate of $9.95 from 1 February to 31 July 2001. 2001-61 The Commission approves St-Éphrem's request to introduce the 9-1-1 Emergency reporting service. Reference:  TN 15. Eff. Date = 01-04-01.

2001-62 The Commission approves TCI's request to : increase the monthly rate for YAK PAK local exchange carrier (LEC) from $20.89 to $22.95 and LEC and primary interexchange carrier package from $17.89 to $19.95; introduce an additional calling feature, namely Silver Voice Mailbox; and introduce a reduced monthly rate of $16.95 for eligible YAK PAK customers. 2001-63 The Commission approves TCI's request to: increase from $11.95 to $14.95 the monthly rates for 3 calling features for customers who have the TCI as their local exchange carrier (LEC); introduce a $12.95 monthly rate for customers who have TCI as their LEC and primary interexchange carrier (PIC); and introduce Call Answer as a feature to be added to the list of features available as part of the package with corresponding monthly rates for LEC ($15.95) and LEC/PIC ($13.95) monthly rates. The Commisson also approves TCI's request to remove the eligibility of Advanced Call Forwarding, Call Gate and Do Not Disturb, as part of the residence service package. Reference:  TN 325. 2001-64 The Commission approves a standardized business rate increase of $4.70 per line for Wightman's and South Bruce's exchanges. Reference:  TN 17. Eff. Date = 01-02-01

2001-65 The Commission approves Bell Canada's request to revise its General Tariff Item 685 for the addition of a promotion for KeyPak High Speed, from 11 February to 15 May 2001, but denies the addition of a promotion for KeyPak Dial to run during the same period. Reference:  TN 6551.

2001-66 The CRTC approves a contribution exemption for administrative lines provided to RSL COM by Bell Canada. Reference:  8626-R7-03/00.

2001-71 The Commission approves TCBC's request to increase by $1 the monthly rates for the Three-feature value package for local exchange carrier (LEC) and PIC TCBC customers and for LEC only (TCBC) customers; and to increase by $2 the monthly rates for the No limits personal call management services packages for TCBC LEC only, for LEC and PIC and for LEC and PIC top 25% of customers, based on eligible revenues. 2001-82 The Commission denies Primus/Distributel's request to rescind Orders CRTC 2000-37 and 2000-38 and: (A) finds that it has the jurisdiction to issue Orders 2000-37 and 2000-38; (B) denies Primus/Distributel's request to direct Bell Canada to apply Item 24.4(d) of its General Tariff to alternate providers of long distance services' (APLDS) toll traffic which is terminated over extended area service (EAS) links and to collect unbilled charges in accordance with its Terms of Service; (C) finds that the interconnection agreement between the independent telephone companies (ITCs) and Bell Canada does not apply to the situations contemplated in Orders 2000-37 and 2000-38; (D) denies Primus' request to remove the 25% surcharge as a proxy for originating minutes in Hurontario's territory; (E) clarifies that contribution already paid by Primus and Distributel to Bell Canada is to be taken into account; (F) retains the 15% discount on line-side access; (G) clarifies that the ITC contribution charge is applicable for the EAS traffic in question; (H) provides the APLDS with three alternatives for reporting and billing; (I) finds that there is no requirement for Bell Canada to amend its tariff pages; and (J) provides an estimate of the applicants' contribution liability to the respondents pursuant to this order. 2001-216 Further to an application by Action Réseau Consommateur and the Association Co-opérative d'économie familiale des Bois-Francs the Commission, by majority decision, reviews and varies Order 2000-531 and finds that: the rate restructuring which consolidated 32 rate groups into four rate groups should remain unchanged; past and future revenues generated as a result of the rate restructuring are to be placed in a deferral account; the deferral account will bear interest at the company's short-term cost of debt, starting from the date of this order; and the amounts placed in the deferral account will be used for the benefit of Télébec's residential subscribers to mitigate future local rate increases that would have otherwise been approved by the Commission.
