Order respecting the
distribution of the French-language television service of TVA Group
Inc. – Attached to the Public Notice is the Commission’s Order
(1999-1) respecting national distribution of the French-language
television network, TVA. Consistent with the objective of Decision
CRTC 98-488 to increase the availability of French-language
television services across Canada, all broadcasting distribution
undertakings (BDUs) to which this Order applies must distribute
TVA's signal as part of the basic service, effective 1 May 1999. |

Order respecting the
distribution of the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network –
All broadcasting distribution undertakings to which this Order
applies must distribute APTN’s signal as part of any basic
service, effective 1 September 1999, or when the service
begins operating should this be after 1 September 1999. These
distributors are authorized to increase their basic monthly
subscriber fee by $0.15 per subscriber per month. In this Order,
the Commission finalizes the terms upon which APTN is to be
carried, as mandated in Decision CRTC 99-42. |
