A.  ECBC is a Crown corporation, and as such all employment opportunities should be made through our Human Resources Department.

Q.  Where can I find information on funding and other programs to help me start my own business?

Q.  What funding is available for a company that is looking to expand its current business?

A.  Projects are evaluated against the following criteria:

• Commercial Viability
• Net Economic Benefits
• Sustainability

Assistance can be offered in the form of a loan or a repayable contribution.

Q.  I am from a small town, who would I contact in my region about starting a business here?

A.  In addition to ECBC, the Community Business Development Corporations (CBDC) assist in the creation of small businesses, and in the expansion, modernization and stabilization of existing businesses. They offer both technical and financial services for entrepreneurs in rural Atlantic Canada.

Q.  What funding is available for a young entrepreneur?

A.  Young Entrepreneurs ConneXion Seed Capital and Counseling Program helps those under 30 years of age access small business start-up and expansion financing of up to $15,000 while providing them with sound business counseling and training.

Q.  How can I contact an ECBC employee?
