Restaurant

The Mess offers a casual atmosphere, an appealing and varied menu, and quick, friendly service. Food and drink are only permitted in designated areas. Smoking is not permitted in the museum facilities.

Photography

Photography is permitted within the exhibition galleries.

Wedding photos can be taken at the museum. The cost for this service is $25.00 and payment is made at the Information Desk. For more information, please contact the Call Centre at 819 776-7000.

Barney Danson Theatre

The multiple-use 231-seat Barney Danson Theatre is a key component in the Museum’s programming of film screenings and lectures related to current exhibitions. Equipped with advanced lighting and sound systems, it can accommodate mobile broadcast units, and may be rented for conferences or performances.

Special Services

Courtesy wheelchairs, a motorized wheelchair and strollers are available at the Cloakroom. All washrooms feature diaper-changing facilities. Quiet locations suitable for nursing babies are available. Please inquire at the Information Desk or call: (819) 776-7014

Military History Research Centre

The Canadian War Museum’s Military History Research Centre houses, in one convenient location, the George Metcalf Archival Collection and the Hartland Molson Library. These extensive national collections of primary and secondary research material document Canada’s military history from the pre-contact period to the present.

Image Reproduction

Reproductions of paintings, drawings and posters from the Beaverbrook Collection of War Art, as well as reproductions of photographs from the George Metcalf Archival Collection, can be custom-ordered through our Image Reproduction Services section.
