Automated Import Reference System (AIRS)
CFIA-AIRS is the automated
import reference system of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). It is a
user-friendly, searchable database of CFIA import requirements. Through a
series of questions and answers, the system will lead you through the
applicable regulations and policies to information on all CFIA import requirements for
specific commodities.

The Automated Import Reference System (AIRS) uses pop-up windows for some
user messages. Please note that this may cause problems for users with pop-up
blockers installed with Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) or by a
third-party pop-up blocker. To work around this behaviour, you may use one of
the following methods that is appropriate for your situation.
Method 1: Configure the Windows XP SP2 pop-up blocker
If you are using the Windows XP SP2 pop-up blocker, configure the pop-up
blocker to enable pop-ups from http://airs-sari.inspection.gc.ca/
To do this, follow these steps:
- Start Internet Explorer.
- On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker
Settings.
- In the Address of Web site to allow box, type
http://airs-sari.inspection.gc.ca/ and then click Add.
- Click Close to close the Pop-up Blocker Settings dialog box.
Method 2: Configure a third-party pop-up blocker
If you are using a third-party pop-up blocker, configure the pop-up blocker
program to allow pop-ups from http://airs-sari.inspection.gc.ca/
