Develops and implements environmental assessment processes, addressing federal requirements under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA) and legislation resulting from claims negotiations. Regimes in each territory differ (NWT - Yukon - Nunavut).

Across the program there are staff that provide expert advice to various boards, the private sector, and the public related to policies, regulation and resource developments in the North.
