E-MAIL ALERT SERVICE
You can subscribe to receive an e-mail alert each time
a news release is added to the Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) Web site.
About the Service:
Subscribe
To subscribe to the DFO E-Mail Alert system enter your E-Mail address in the box below, select your Province(s) of Interest and select Subscribe.
You can subscribe to one or more provinces.
Note: By subscribing to the E-Mail alert service, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted the Privacy Notice.
Unsubscribe
To unsubscribe from the DFO E-Mail Alert system enter your E-Mail
address in the box below, select the
Province(s) you wish to unsubscribe from and select Unsubscribe.
Privacy Notice
Participation in the e-mail alert service and provision of the requested information
is voluntary. The information is being collected for the purpose of creating,
or deleting your subscription to the e-mail alert service. Any personal information
that you provide is kept confidential and is protected under the provisions of the
Privacy Act. Necessary
measures have been taken to protect the confidentiality of the personal information
you may provide.
According to the Privacy
Act, you have rights with respect to the information you submit. You may
upon request:
- Be given access to your file; and/or
- Have incorrect information corrected or have a notation attached.

How the Service Works:
When you submit your e-mail address, you will receive an acknowledgement via
the Web site.
You will also receive a welcome message at the e-mail address you have provided
with key information on this service, including:
- how to unsubscribe both via your e-mail or from another e-mail account;
and
- who to contact if you encounter difficulties.
When a new document is published to the DFO Media Room,
you will receive an e-mail message from the following e-mail address: owner-dfo_media_province@lists.canada.gc.ca.
If you have an e-mail filter, you may wish to customize it to "trust" messages from
this sender. Each e-mail will contain:
- The title or subject-matter of the new document(s);
- A link to the document(s) on the DFO Web site; and
- The province(s) affected by the information, if applicable.
