Fellowship Program

The purpose of the Fellowship Program is to foster excellence in research and analysis, and to develop partnerships with experts outside the Bank in areas critical to the Bank's mandate; i.e., macroeconomics, monetary economics, international finance, and the economics of financial markets and institutions.

There are two awards available through the Fellowship Program:

  • the Fellowship Award, which provides financial support for academics recognized for their expertise and excellence in areas critical to the Bank's mandate, and who are undertaking leading-edge research that contributes to the development of knowledge and research capabilities in those areas.

Update: There are two Fellowship Awards available in 2008.

  • the Governor's Award, which recognizes academics who have demonstrated, at a relatively early stage in their careers, the potential to continue to make exemplary research contributions in areas critical to the Bank's mandate.
