What is the Consulting With Canadians site?
The Consulting With Canadians site contains structured listings of Government of Canada Consultation sites.

It is a convenient way for Canadians to find out what the Government is consulting Canadians about and provides one place from which to access the Consultations. This makes it easier for Canadians to find consultations of interest without having to understand how government is structured determine which department is handling a specific Consultation.

What is the purpose of the Consulting With Canadians site?

The Consulting With Canadians site has three key objectives:

  1. To enhance public awareness of government consultation activities;
  2. To provide opportunities for Canadians to participate in government consultations, both online and offline;
  3. To develop the government's capacity for engaging Canadians online and improve management of government consultations across departments.

About Consultations

What is a Consultation?
A consultation is a means of requesting feedback from the public. Consultations can be developed on topics of interest to the government. Consultations may be ongoing, which means they do not end or they may have an end date.

Who do I contact if I have a question about a particular Consultation?
Each Consultation listing contains the contact information for the department or agency holding the Consultation. If you have a question concerning a specific Consultation we suggest that you contact the department or agency directly using the contact information provided.

Why do some Consultations allow me to post comments while others do not?
Consultations are created and controlled by their individual departments and agencies. Each Consultation will have its own method for submitting comments and questions. Please view the consultation you are interested in for information on how to participate in it.
